1.1.2 Who founded RE/MAX Europe and when? Frank J. Polzler and Walter J. Schneider brought the RE/MAX franchising system to Europe. RE/MAX Europe is headquarted in Zug, Switzerland with RE/MAX Europe Regional Services office located in Vienna, Austria. RE/MAX Spain was the first country sold in Europe in 1994.

Walter J. Schneider, President and Co-founder, RE/MAX Europe: Walter J. Schneider was born in Toronto in October of 1953. He received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto in 1976. H. Charles Lemire, Jr., Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director, RE/MAX Europe: Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of RE/MAX Europe Regional Services, H. Charles (Chuck) Lemire, Jr. is a 12-year veteran of the RE/MAX system. He is responsible for 54 regions in 35 European countries.
